Yves passed away peacefully at home at only 58 years old. Beloved husband of Maureen and loving father, Papa d’amour, of Emilie. Forever remembered by his mother Jeannine and her partner Gérard, brother Jean (Brunelle), sisters Carole and Denise (Stéphane), and nephews and nieces Samuel (Marie-Laurence), Frédéric (Anne-Marie), Édith (Tommy), and Michaël, along with his first wife, Emilie’s mother, Hélène. He will also be greatly missed by Maureen’s and Hélène’s families, and countless friends. Predeceased by his father Louis (1989).

Yves worked hard all his life and was always willing to help a friend. His generous nature included over 30 years of service with Lions Club International and supporting numerous charities.

A retired, long-time employee of The City of York Board of Education. She was a dedicated and hardworking member of the York Lions Steel Band and York Lions Club.

Gail leaves her loving husband Mike of 61 years, daughter Linda, son-in-law John, grandsons Jarrett and Anthony, and many cousins, family and friends.

Mark Everest McConney passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at North York General Hospital at the age of 88. Predeceased by his wife Eunice (2013) and siblings Courtenay, Irvine, Trevor and Hyacinth, he is survived by his sister Sylvia, his daughter Sharon (John) and son Dwayne (Irene). He also was the loving grandfather to Malachi, Emmanuel, Micaiah, Hayden, Maia and Santiago who all will greatly miss him.

Mark was born on May 23, 1934, in St. George, Barbados to Irvine and Orley McConney. He previously worked for Cable and Wireless in Barbados before moving to Canada in 1965 where he got married and raised his family. While in Canada he graduated from Ryerson (now Toronto Metropolitan University) and worked for several companies including Hilroy and the City of Toronto where he retired in 1999. Mark was a long-time member of the former St. John the Divine Anglican Church we he served as the Warden for several years. He remained active after retirement which included volunteering at Centenary Hospital, travelling to Israel and Turkey and spending time with his 6 grandchildren. In 2005, he helped found and became a charter member of the Malvern Onyx Lions Club where he also held various positions including treasurer and secretary.

Visitation will take place on Sunday December 4 from 4pm-7pm at the Ogden Funeral Home (4164 Sheppard Avenue E, Scarborough). The funeral service will be held on Monday December 5 at 11am at the Church of the Holy Wisdom (776 Brimley Road, Scarborough) with interment to follow at York Cemetery in North York.

We lament the passing of Fr. Thomas Charles O’Toole, SFM, who died on Friday, November 18, 2022, at 2:25 pm, at Presentation Manor, Scarborough, Ontario. He was 95 years of age.

Born in Toronto, Ontario, on October 3, 1927, Fr. Tom was the son of John Joseph and Adeline (nee Boylan) O'Toole, and stepmother Mary Eva (nee Sullivan) O’Toole. He had an older brother, Lawrence, who died in childhood, and one sister, Jane, as well as three stepbrothers, John Harding, Rev. Thomas Robert Harding, and Rev. William Harding.

Fr. Tom attended St. James Separate School (1934–1938), St. Vincent de Paul Separate School (1938–1939), the Cathedral Choir School (1940) and St. Michael's High School (1941-1946). He entered Scarboro Missions’ Novitiate in 1948 and studied at St. Francis Xavier Seminary (1948-55). He was ordained to the priesthood for Scarboro Missions on December 8, 1954, at St. Ann’s Church in Toronto, by Bishop Kenneth Turner, SFM.

After his ordination, Fr. Tom was appointed to mission in Japan where his initial two years were dedicated to studying Japanese in language school (1955-57). He then served in various parishes, first as curate (1957-58) and as pastor (1958-59) in Ichinomiya; and as pastor in Fukuoka (1959-63); Kawatana (1963-69), and Mizunami (1970-76).

Serving as a missionary in a country where the majority of people are Shinto or Buddhist, and less than 2% are of the Christian faith is challenging. Fr. Tom was very involved in the Lions Club as an opportunity to meet people outside the church. In a 1969 issue of Scarboro Missions magazine, he wrote: “The basic principles of the Lions Club are Christian, and if I can help by my cooperation and show a genuine willingness to help the community with my limited experience and knowledge, my membership in the Lions and genuine Christian witness are one.”

Returning to Canada, Fr. Tom worked for two terms as Director of Scarboro Missions’ Promotion Department (1977-82) and then took a sabbatical year in 1983, participating in the Maryknoll Mission Renewal Program.

Fr. Tom returned to Japan to serve at St. Mary's International School in Tokyo (1984-1988), ending 24 years of service in Japan.

In Canada, Fr. Tom was appointed Treasurer General of the Society for two terms (1989-1996). He retired from administrative duties in 1997 and went to live at Fraser Acres, Scarboro Missions’ rural house in Omemee, Ontario, as house coordinator.

Like many Scarboro missioners who had served in Japan, Fr. Tom accompanied the Toronto Japanese Catholic Community as chaplain for many years. The group gathered once a month at Scarboro Missions to celebrate mass in Japanese and then enjoy dinner together.

Fr. Tom will be remembered for his kindness and steadfastness, for his ironic wit, for his love of a ‘wee dram’ of whiskey at the end of the day and for his deep enjoyment of rural life at Fraser Acres.

Fr. Tom is predeceased by his parents and stepmother, his brother Lawrence O’Toole and stepbrothers John Harding, Rev. Thomas Robert Harding and Rev. William Harding. He is survived by his sister Jane (late Harold) Bowen and her five daughters, Ann Marie (Dennis) Cordotta, Elaine Bowen, Frances (Leonard) Daigle, Catherine (Greg) O’Leary, Maureen Bowen, two grandnephews, two grandnieces, and two great-grandnieces.

We wish to express our sincere thanks to the staff of Presentation Manor and Canadian Religious Stewardship for their compassionate care for Fr. Tom over the past years. May God bless you in your health ministry of comforting the sick.

James (Jacobus) René Carrega passed peacefully from this life on Oct 19, 2022 after a brief illness. He was supported by his loving family during the last days of his life. James was born in New Amsterdam, Guyana on June 18, 1925. He and his late wife Veronica & family immigrated to Canada in 1977.

John Spence Stewart, 75, passed peacefully surrounded by the love of his family.

John's life was filled with achievement, kindness, and a sense of humour; he always had a sparkle in his eyes. John was a Principal and Special Education teacher in the correctional system, working in juvenile, minimum and maximum security environments. He always said he studied history so he could teach math and English. He was known for his ability with numbers. Give him any combination and he would come up with the correct answer in seconds.

John was also an avid reader with bookcases in his home filled with books covering everything from history to murder mysteries, biographies and more. He loved a variety of music but his favourites were rock n'roll, blues and jazz. John loved golfing and you could be sure if there was a tree around, his golf ball would find it.

John could often be found walking or biking around Ancaster, and he enjoyed having coffee with friends. He learned to downhill ski later in life and even though he insisted he had two left feet, he skied the highest of hills at Whistler and Blackcomb with minimal crashes.

John was a long time member of the Ancaster Lions and was always willing to lend a hand. He was a loving husband, father, step-father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. Those who knew him will remember him for his kind heart, sense of humour and willingness to help. He was one of a kind and will be dearly missed.

Anne Robertson joined Toronto Suomi Lions Club in December 2015, from the former North York Lions Club.

She had successfully initiated the off-leash dog parks for communities in Toronto.

She had been a long-term active volunteer for kids and school projects.

Hubert (Bert) Starmans, born on November 11, 1931, died peacefully at the Ian Anderson House hospice on Sunday, September 11, 2022, after a brief struggle with lung cancer. He was predeceased by his loving wife Hilde (2014) and also his first wife, the mother of his seven children, Theodora (2021).

He will be missed by his children, Rick Starmans, Jacquie Di Federico, Bob Starmans (Beatrice), Mike Starmans (Kathy), Patsy Mezureux, Jenny Gaudette (Greg) & Teresa Schaffrath.

Bert (Huub) will be missed by his sisters, Gerda & Zus in The Netherlands and all his nephews and nieces there, whom he loved and kept contact with.

He will be missed by the many great friends he had at Parkland On The Glen, where he lived for 10+ years, especially his Bridge friends and dinner companions and also the many staff who befriended him.

He will also be missed by his Lions' associates, a member of which he has been for the past 57 years.

Special thanks to all the staff at Ian Anderson House who took such special care of Bert and his family during his short stay there and also to the Palliative Care Team from Credit Valley Hospital (especially his doctor, Emily Kuhlmann and his main nurse, Iris) who ensured that he could stay in his home as long as possible.

Reginald Albert Bullock passed away in his 94th year, on August 25, 2022. Predeceased by his wonderful wife of 67 years, Margaret (Torrance), son Mike (Mary Ellen). Survived by his children Gaye (Tom - deceased), Leslie (Mike), Greg, and Murray (Carolyn). Grandchildren Kyle (Lori), Jason (Bonnie), Spencer (Breann), Mitchell, Mallory, Natasha (Zack), and Curtis. Great-grandchildren Nathan, Makala and Jacob. As well as many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Reg met the love of his life, Margaret Torrance, in 1948 and they were married June 30, 1951. They settled into a house that was built on part of the farm which was sold shortly after they were married.

Reg was born on February 6, 1929 to a market gardening family in Aldershot across from East Plains United church. He and his five siblings were close in age and grew up to stay close over the years. He and his brother Henry took over the family business and changed the fruit market over to a garden centre adding more greenhouses. In time, with the new large corporate garden centres opening and with no room to expand, they sold the property. The family, for many years, operated a stand on the Hamilton Central market and the Centre Mall market. Reg and his brother Henry stopped attending those markets at the end of 1981. In 1982, Reg obtained his real estate licence and enjoyed a successful twenty-year career as a realtor retiring when was 72.

Reg felt that if you joined an organization that you should become involved. He is a life member of the Aldershot Lions club having served in nearly all positions over the years. He was a tour guide at the Canadian Warplane Museum for 25 years, loving all the old aircraft. In 2002, he was named Burlington's Citizen of the year and received the Queen's Jubilee Medal for his years of community service. As a member of the Aldershot community council, he ran a yearly Historic bus tour of Aldershot, and Reg was the commentator during the tours. He enjoyed this as he could remember all the farms that were long gone.

Reg loved his gardens and won several Rose Awards from the City of Burlington. In 2017, both Marg and Reg were jointly given the honour of being named to the Aldershot Community Honor roll. Marg and Reg loved swimming and had a back yard pool for many years. One fall Marg suggested that they take up scuba diving. They both obtained their scuba licences and enjoyed many years of diving in both the Caribbean and Georgian Bay. Starting in 1976 with a trip to Hawaii, they travelled every year after, starting with a trailer travelling Canada coast to coast. They travelled the UK, the US and Europe, and took several cruises.

The family would like to thank all the medical staff at Joseph Brant Hospital who cared for dad. With special thanks to Dr. Mills, Amanda Wong and Nurse Kim. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation to The Aldershot Lions Club or The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Life will take place at East Plains United Church on September 10 at 2 p.m. Reception to follow in Peart Hall.

Richard passed away peacefully, at Toronto General Hospital, on August 9, 2022, surrounded by family. He was predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Cleta Blackman; his loving partner of 25 years, Faith Gladys Jackson; his sister, Joyce Marshall; and nephew, Mark Marshall. He is survived by children, Craig, Toni and Robin Blackman, Tammy Sisco and Rick Hurst, 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Richard was the longest serving member of the Bathurst Lions Club of Toronto for 50 years. He served as Treasurer at one point. He was a member of Club 65, one of the founding members of Four Brothers Night Club and Manager of North Toronto Ghosts football team. He will be missed by his family and a host of friends.

Fedun, Sue - It is with great sadness and heartfelt pain that we announce the passing of Emily Susan Fedun on July 29, 2022, one week before her 76th birthday. Sue is predeceased by her parents, Robert E. Benson and Ethel (nee Herbert) Benson, and brother Robert Benson. She is survived by her husband Russell, and daughter Melanie. Sue will be extremely missed by her Fur Babies Lowell, Stella, Bobo, Chilly and Malpa, but will be reunited with the extremely large Fedun Family Zoo in Heaven. Best loving friends Debbie and Dan Garside, Helen and Larry Demchuk, will miss her dearly, as well as sister in law Joanne Benson, nieces Vicky Truesdell and Marnie Benson.

Her fun loving spirit and infectious smile will always be remembered, and she will be fondly thought of by innumerable friends she gained throughout her life. Sue graduated from St. Joseph's school of nursing in 1968, and her motto in the yearbook was "Remember that there is one thing better than making a living and that is making a life."

Passed away at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at the age of 76. Girish Mehta passed away peacefully in Toronto on June 5, 2022. Girish loved to tell stories, laugh, travel, take long walks along the waterfront, and spend time with his family and friends in Ontario, Alberta and around the world. He faced cancer with a rational and positive outlook.

He will be missed by his children Anita (Gautam), Shilpa (Nitish), his brother Mahendra (Aruna), his five grandchildren (Siena, Rohan, Devan, Remy & Roma) and many relatives and friends.

It is with a deep sense of sadness that the members of Malvern Onyx Lions Club announce the passing of Lion Aubrey Langhorne.

Lion Aubrey Langhorne had been in Lionism some time in the past and became inactive until he was invited to and rejoin as a member of Malvern Onyx Lions Club on June 6, 2017. He soon thereafter accepted membership to the Board of Directors and was currently a director for 2021/2022.

Lion Aubrey was a very dedicated Lion who was kind and compassionate to all persons with whom he came into contact. He will always be remembered for his benevolence and caring personality. He gave willingly and generously in support of all Lions projects, in particular the Daily Food Bank Drive.

Lion Aubrey migrated to from Guyana several years ago and eventually came to live in Canada. He was a well-respected Real Estate Agent in Canada for many years until recently due to failing health. Lion Aubrey is survived by his wife Joycelyn, son, daughters, and their families.

He was very popular with connections in many organizations and fraternities, some of which he was the founder or co-founder both at home and abroad. His name would surely live on. Our condolences go out to his family, his various organizations, his fraternal brethren and all his loved ones.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Paul Harper of Nobleton, Ontario, who passed away on April 30, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Greta; his children, Cynthia (Bill), Kevin and David; and his grandchildren, Matthew and Meghan.

Dave was a strong believer in giving back to his community, having volunteered for many years at Diabetes Canada, Mackenzie Health, Epilepsy York Region and most recently at Maple Health Centre. He was a founding member of the Nobleton Lions Club, serving in leadership positions at the club, zone and district levels, as well as acting as co-Chair of the Lion’s community “Walk for Guide Dogs.”

In recognition of his dedication to the community, Dave was the recipient of a Senior Citizen Award of Merit from the Township of King in 2018.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Egan Funeral Home (203 Queen St S, Bolton, ON L7E2C6). A funeral mass will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (14485 Jane St, King City, ON L7B1A3).

McARTHUR, FRANK HENRY October 14, 1935 to April 8, 2022 Frank passed away at Michael Garron Hospital. He was predeceased by his sister, Gladys (Buster McDermott). He leaves behind his son, Scott (Susanne MacDonald) and son, Darrin (Sally Ann Corcoran); and his only granddaughter, Brodie (Justin); plus his ex-wife, Bernice Ashford (now Ufnal).

He grew up as a boy in Cabbagetown, moving to Weston in his teens, and later moved to Pickering where his sons were born. He graduated from Ryerson and went on to work as an advertising executive, notably for Nestle Canada, with a brief stint in their New York office in the seventies. He returned to Toronto as a Vice President in coffee marketing to round out the decade.

He bought a home on the Beaches boardwalk in 1982 where he spent his latter 40 years. He cherished the beach and enjoyed many hours sunning himself on the sand in his earlier days. He was a long term Lions member, a one time President of the Kew Gardens Tennis Club, was an avid bowler, and worked in the Real Estate business, prior to retiring in his house overlooking the boardwalk. He loved parties and would enjoy discussions and debating topics of the day. He was a voracious reader of newspapers, magazines and books - he loved sports and may have several TVs on, in addition to a radio at the same time.

Our one and only George passed quietly from a stroke at the Headwaters Health Care Centre, Orangeville, on Sunday morning, March 13, 2022 at the age of 83. Beloved husband and best friend of wife Gwen (nee Wilson); dearest Dad of Kim and Dave Graham, Shari and Steve Adair, Sharon and Brian Cranstone. Cherished Papa of Jeff (Natalie), Scott (Meagan), Dylan (Brandie), Kaitlin, and Sydney (Kevin). Much loved Great Grand-Papa of Lyla, Wyatt, Sully, and Mya. George was the son of the late Wilfred and Mabel (Thompson) McArthur of Erin, Ontario. Predeceased by older brother Doug (Joan). Lovingly remembered by brothers Jim (Karen), Gord (Reta), Roy (Elfi), and sisters Helen (Don Ruud), and Joyce (John Doucette). Also, in the hearts of brother-in-law John Wilson (Hanna), and sisters-in-law Judy (Harry Smith), Nancy (the late Archie McArthur, cousin), Jane (Pat Villadiego), Peggy (Alex Lacombe) and Terry (Ron Reid). George will be greatly missed by a multitude of dear nieces, nephews, cousins, many treasured friends and neighbours.

George was well known in the Erin area where he operated his business, McArthur’s Automotive & Supply, for close to 40 years. His love of vehicles made him the perfect “parts man”!

Roland was born on August 14, 1940, in Georgetown, Guyana to David Apollos Carryl and Roslyn Leshmere Carryl (nee Isaacs). As the son of a Post-Master, Roland experienced the beauty of Guyana, travelling to various parts of the country when his father was assigned to a new work location. He enjoyed sharing stories of the adventures Guyana had to offer, from its lush rainforests, stunning waterfalls and vast river systems, delicious cuisine, cultural festivals, and the myriad of fond moments spent with friends and loved ones. In his youth, Roland attended Queens College, which was then a renowned all boys high school in the heart of Georgetown where he developed life-long friendships and received a quality education under the tutelage of some of the best educators in the country. He was a strong athlete in track and field and enjoyed the fun and exhilaration of playing cricket with his classmates.

In his twenties, Roland attended Teacher’s College and embarked upon a brief time teaching elementary school children. Just days before his passing, Roland recalled this time in life stating he enjoyed watching the children learn and develop.

In the early 1970s, Roland immigrated to Canada where he met his future wife, Audrey Rosalind McGowan at a social gathering. The pair married in 1973 and produced two children, Kenan Ellard Carryl, born November 28, 1976, and Simone Alison Carryl, born August 27, 1980.

Roland graduated from York University in 1982, earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. After working for The Wellesley Hospital in Food Services in addition to other employers, Roland embarked upon a lengthy career with the Federal Public Service in various positions, until his retirement from the Federal Court of Canada as a Registrar.

Roland’s love of photography and passion for African history were among his favourite past-times that he shared with family and friends. As a member of the Toronto Kaiteur Lions Club (Lions Club International), Roland made significant impacts dedicating his time for the purpose of humanitarian service primarily in Toronto and Guyana. Community service activities Roland was involved with included: fundraising to support patients in travelling from Guyana to Canada for urgent medical care, assistance to improve the circumstances of Toronto’s homeless population and those at risk of becoming homeless, Meals on Wheels for seniors, and the annual Christmas party at HR Lawson Children’s Respite Service.

Roland was an active member of The Lions Club for 30 years commencing in 1991. After serving as the club's first Secretary for two years he went on to being Vice President and eventually the club's sixth President in 1996/1997. Lion Roland returned as Secretary for seven consecutive years from 2002 to 2009 and was again elected as President in 2013/2014. He remained on the Board of Directors for over twenty consecutive years and was one of the main participants in the club's Meals on Wheels program with Trans Care for over twenty-five years. Lion Roland also conducted The Lions' Memorial Service at many District Conventions. His dedication to Lionism was acknowledged with the Judge Brian Stevenson award and Melvin Jones Fellow award, the highest award the club can bestow upon its members.

Roland is predeceased by all members of his immediate family, including siblings, David, Lynette, and Margaret. He is survived by his wife, son, and daughter, nephews Orson, Regan, Lee, and Nathan, cousins, Leslyn, Clarence, and Yvonne, in addition to other relatives in Canada, the United States, and Guyana.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Carryl Family at Highland Funeral Home, Scarborough Chapel on March 20, 2022, from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at St. Timothy’s Agincourt, Anglican Church (4125 Sheppard Avenue East) on March 21, 2022, at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens located at Midland and St. Clair Ave E. Friends may send condolences to the Carryl family or make donations to The Scarborough Hospital or St. Timothy’s Anglican Church.

Suddenly, as a result of a snowmobile accident on Lake Joseph, on Saturday February 26, 2022, Bill passed from this life at 63 years of age. Cherished husband of Joan Taylor (nee. Whiting). Loving father of Mark (Melanie) and Julie. Forever cherished son of Kay Taylor and the late Bob Taylor. Forever remembered brother of Janice Uhlig (Mark), Brian (Krista) and Joanne McQuiggan. Loved brother-in-law of Debbie Bolton (Dave) and Catherine Horsfall (Robin). He will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Bill was the proud Owner/Operator of Mobile Facilities Inc. His business afforded him the opportunity to see the world but his 'Happy Place' was at the cottage on Little Whitefish Lake in the Muskoka’s.

Bill was an active member of the Waterdown Lions club.

It is with great sadness, that the family announces the loss of an incredible person. Bill passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loved ones. Creating a wonderful life for 60 years with his loving wife and best friend Dianne (nee Beninger), they faced his 13 years of cancer with fierce optimism together. Born in Toronto and raised in London Ontario, an only child to Keith and Wilhelmine (Billie) Ferris, he was adored. He is cherished by his children; Janice Ferris Quade (Jeff Bartlett), Brian (France Léveillé) and Andrew (Judy Kallaghe); grandchildren; Benjamin (Katelyn), Joshua, Marc-André (Véronique), Alexandre, Jean-François (Mélanie), Justice and Mia, and great-grandchildren; Remington, River and a baby girl arriving soon.

In his youth, Bill enjoyed team sports such as football and hockey, playing in the police band and selling men’s clothing at Eaton Department store.

ill graduated from Wayne State University (Michigan) and University of Toronto, moving to Burlington to start his teaching career in business with Hamilton City School Board in 1967. Through these years he created many lifelong friendships that shaped his professional and personal experiences.

At Camp Otterdale he co-directed 200 campers for 12 summers, providing so many opportunities for his children to experience camp life.

From 1983 to 1986 he moved his family and taught in Baden-Soellingen, travelled extensively throughout Europe, volunteering with the radio station, skiing, playing the clarinet with the Baden Rube Band, volksmarching and experiencing the German lifestyle of beer and bratwurst.

The Burlington Top Hat Band rejuvenated his passion for the clarinet and he spent many joyful years with a longtime friend marching in parades. He was a member of the Burlington Aldershot Lions Club and participated in many community projects. Bill was a lifelong member of the Burlington Legion. He also spent weekends with the Halton Outdoor Club hiking and cross-country skiing.

After occupying different positions in the school board through the years, including high school teacher, department head, vice-principal and work at the board office in asbestos abatement, Bill retired in 1998 and he launched into a ‘second career’.

Volunteering with Red Cross for 25 years saw him aiding in disasters across North America including 9-11 attacks in New York City, flooding in New Orleans, Mississippi River floods, refugees from Kosovo, fires in Alberta, evacuations from Northern Ontario, ice storms across Ontario, and mud slides in Costa Rica. He was also instrumental in implementing a Detention Monitoring Program. In recognition of his extraordinary contributions made to humanitarian work, he was awarded the Order of the Red Cross.

Dianne and Bill are grateful to have spent many winters of retirement on Jekyll Island GA, biking, enjoying potluck suppers and game night with friends, and walking their dog Austin. The summers were spent teaching English and traveling through China. Spring and fall included camping in Algonquin Park and visiting friends across Canada. Their explorations included several cruises and vacations around the world. Bill loved experiencing the culture, food and language of the places he visited, often creating new friendships.

Dad continued his love of sports by watching the Leafs and Raptors and enjoyed maintaining a beautiful lawn and garden. He was well organized with files and labels; something he was teased for, but we appreciated that he always knew where to find stuff.

Bill had a special quality to bring out the best in others, helping them to see their strengths and potential. He wanted to assist and make life better for others. He made a positive impact on so many people’s lives as a husband, father, teacher, volunteer and friend. His selfless contribution was again recognized by receiving the Queens Jubilee Award (twice), and the Senior Achievement Award from the Governor General.

Bill was so grateful for the outstanding care he has received by many exceptional doctors, especially Dr. Gallaccio, Dr. Phillips and Dr. Prodger, nurses and providers that have crossed his path in during his illness.

In accordance with the family's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made in Bill’s name to The Canadian Red Cross, Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation, and Lions Foundation of Canada Guide Dogs.

The visitation at McEachnie Funeral Home (28 Old Kingston Rd., Ajax Ontario L1T 2Z7) on Saturday, February 19, 2022 and Sunday, February 20, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. is private by invitation only through the family. Thank you.

Passed away peacefully with his wife by his side at Tall Pines LTC in Brampton, ON on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at the age of 79.

Loving and devoted husband and companion to Marjorie of 51 years. Survived by his brother Will Morris, his sister Elizabeth Morris and predeceased by his sister Merry Pudifin and brother in law Ross Pudifin. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by the Colquhoun Clan, the Morris Clan, the Pudifin Clan, extended family and friends.

He was a member of the Lions Club for 47 years between Mississauga Central Lion Club and the Brampton/Bramalea Lions Club and received numerous awards and recognition. Also, he received the Lions International President’s Certificate of Appreciation Award.

He was a volunteer with the Canadian International Air Show for close to 40 years. Sandy and Marjorie were involved with the RCAF Air Cadets – 618 Squadron. Sandy was awarded the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Award which he received November 7, 2002. Sandy and Marjorie were Bramalea City Centre Mall walkers.

With grateful and extra special thanks to the teams at Tall Pines LTC for their compassion and care while Sandy was in residence there.

There will be a celebration of life for Sandy Morris at Spot 1 (289 Rutherford Road South, Brampton), Sunday June 11, 1:00 - 4:00. A Lions Service will take place at 2:00 PM
